While Noah has always been very creative with language and his unique sayings have been well-documented, I recognize that my other kids, like all little kids, have had clever things to say, too. When Maggie was about two, I made a list of some of the cute things she regularly said. Here are a few of my favorites:
“pain in the nest”
“No, I amn’t.”
I always thought that last one was kind of brilliant, linguistically speaking.
When Chase was little, he had a Superman costume that he liked to wear while pretending to fly around our apartment. One day, he came to me and said, “Mom, help me take this off. I can’t fly.” I think that was the day Chase realized he wasn’t a superhero.
